Gamers Lounge Ep 140 – Sofa in the Lounge

Here we go with episode 140! In this episode Bill is joined by the Mad Russian Andrey, co-host of Hobby Sofa podcast. Andrey is sober for this episode, and the conversation is wide and far reaching. I started to keep track of time stamps for different conversations but that was a lost cause. In approximate order here is what this 2 hours of podcast covers:

WWX
touch on 40K 8th
touch on Wyrd Miniatures
Relic Knights
Game Designers – impact and can you follow them?
Relic Knights v2
SDE V2
Drowned Earth

Rising Sun

Gamers-Lounge-logo-LGGamers Lounge Ep 124 – We’re back with BloodRAGE!!!!

Episode 124 was slow in coming but now it’s here! I’m not going to write much here because I want to get the show onto the feed. We open with an extended Lounge Talk covering the past 4 weeks. Lot’s of fun stuff in there.

Moving on, Spencer played a couple board games and we review one of them. We review Blood Rage and talk about our thoughts.

Twitter questions… an always fun segment.

Then Outro with Bill trying to decide if he’s going to Troll the internet.

Enjoy

Gamers Lounge ep. 94 – Why Not?

Gamers-Lounge-logo-LGGamers Lounge ep. 94 – Why Not?

This episode ended up going much longer than expected by both parties on the recording. What started as a conversation regarding “Why Not Wild West Exodus” quickly moved to a conversation about communities and changing community views. Chandler is a community leader who is the guy who ends up bringing new games to his play group. We talk about the challenges introducing new games into a group who has become entrenched with a specific game system.

Overall, I really think this is a great conversation for some insight into trying to lead your group to new games.

Gamers Lounge Ep. 90 – Table Flipping Competition

Gamers-Lounge-logo-LGGamers Lounge Ep. 90 – Table Flipping Competition

Ok, maybe this episode is not all about competition, but it’s certainly got Dixon in it. Dixon is possibly the most competitive mini-wargamer I know, and a good friend. He joins me after a game of Malifaux Classic to talk about gaming, his world views, and some Malifaux and WWX. The conversation grows very long (nearly 3 hours) and wanders about a bit before we call off. Unfortunately there is no Developers Corner in this episode due to length and due to computer problems in the Gamers Lounge studio.

Content is at:
00:00:15 – Dixon, Malifaux Game, Gaming Philosophy
00:59:06 – WWX Game Day and WWX Game review
02:35:33 – Outro and whats coming up with Gamers Lounge

Gamers Lounge Ep. 78 – Don’t need no stinking Schedules

by on Jul.29, 2013, under Interviews, Podcast, Wyrd - Malifaux

Gamers-Lounge-logoGamers Lounge Ep. 78 – Don’t need no stinking Schedules

OK, not really. On a more serious note this is the promised show where I am joined by Andrew Weakland to discuss his views on Malifaux V2. He is much more positive than Spencer and I are and brings up some excellent points. Did he change my whole stance and am I in love with M2E now? Well, I did use M2E a couple times during the show, so I guess you need to listen and see.

This is another 2 hour rambling conversation with no breaks, so no real good places to note specific content. Eventually we will get back to content marks in the show notes. Hell, eventually we will get back to a regular schedule!

Enjoy!
