Gamers Lounge Episode 30

The boys are back! In this episode Bil and Jay talk about Bill’s WHFB games at Adpticon, Jay’s recent hiatus from podcasting, and other happenings over the past 6 weeks. They also speak briefly about Blood Reaver and Age of Darkness form the Black Library.

During the Noob & Nob, they start talking about Assassination runs and their role in the WarmaHordes game. Jay talks about the overall theory and different types of casters. The boys then go extra long on this topic, discussing War Engines and the upcoming Wrath release.

During the M&SU bar, the boys respond to some listener emails and discuss Lilith and Pandora. They then talk about Jay’s love/hate relationship with Malifaux and where he is currently.

During the Outro, they read the announcement for Play-On Con, and then drop some hints about the NOVA Open. Bill also shares some information regarding the NOVA Open hotel raffle.

What is Guts & Gears?
Guts & Gears is a 25pt Tournament format for Warmachine and Hordes. Armies are comprised of 1 Warcaster (Warmachine) or 1 Warlock (Hordes) and any number of additional Warjacks (Warmachine) or Warbeasts (Hordes) following normal Field Allowance (FA) limits from a chosen faction. In addition each player is allowed to take either: A) One Unit available to their chosen faction; B) One Solo available to their chosen faction.

Players may not take Mercenary or Minion models unless they are using either a Mercenary or Minion Warcaster or Warlock to lead their army. Players who have chosen to include a unit may include any applicable Unit or Weapon attachments allowed.

Gamers Lounge Episode 22 – 2nd Generation Awesome

This episode we have a in-studio guest, Dan who is…. 2nd generation awesome! We kick off Lounge Talk discussing hobby we have all accomplished recently, and Jay’s Birthday Apocalypse 40K game. After this, we dive deeply into Malifaux for the bulk of the episode. Dan discusses his in depth experience with playing Ressurectionists in Malifaux. M&SU Bar is a discussion of how Malifaux objectives are different from other mini-wargames out there, with the objective first, combat second approach. We close up the cast with a return of Jay’s World, where he makes an announcement that’s a bit surprising.

Its a long episode, but certainly 2nd generation Awesome!
