Gamers Lounge Ep 127 – Kickstarter Threeway

Episode 127 is releasing a little late but is chock full of good content! We open the show with a lounge talk featuring Spencer, Bill, and long time friend of the show and one time listener Atlanta Mike. We cover a load of games including a litany of board games Atlanta Mike has been introducing his new crew to. We also get some advice on the “flow of games” to use when building up a non-board-gaming group toward Kingdom Death Monster.

Our main segment for the show is talking about Kickstarter. Spencer is not a fan of kickstarter, Atlanta Mike is a moderate fan but has dived into a couple, and Bill “may have a problem” if you believe the other two. We go through the guys reasons for using kickstarter (or not), experiences on kickstarter (good and bad), and overall thoughts.

We also have questions from the Twitter featuring Dr. Loxley’s speed round. Another challenger showed up by Dr. Loxley still brought the speed round questions for the win!

Then Atlanta Mike delivers a very smooth outro, making our intrepid hosts look bad overall.

Gamers Lounge Ep 125- Guild Ball Tournaments

Episode 125 arrives with some last minute recording to pad out the show. We open with the traditional Lounge Talk where Spencer and Bill cover the happenings over the past couple weeks. Bill runs a question past Spencer that then gets covered again in it’s own segment later in the show.

Segment 2 is a Gamers Lounge on the road segment. Dixon and Bill are returning from a Guild Ball tournament and spend a solid amount of time discussing how the event went. Please excuse the road noise but enjoy the GPS!

A short Twitter questions follows. Have no fear, even with only a short time to respond Dr. Loxley comes through with a Loxley Speed Round.

The final segment of the show is another short Mobile recording between Dixon and Bill. I’ll call this the “Play Down” discussion, as we talk about how odd-numbered tournament pairings should work.

Sepi from Fight in a Box games about End of the Line and their other games. Joe from Osprey Games, the creator of Frostgrave. Then we finish the interviews with Sam from Games and Gears, talking about brushes, Dark Deeds, and general behind-the-curtain game manufacturing.
