Episode 48 has Bill and Brian kicking off a good discussion about the progression of skill when playing Malifaux. This is a great discussion as Brian has recently moved from a fairly new player to the game to coming in second in a recent tournament. That’s followed up with the Book Corner review of Soul Hunter by ADB. During the M*SU Bar I am joined for a good convesation with Clousseu, the Godfather of UK Malifaux.

    neat topic, I’m still relatively new to the game, somewhere between 20 and 30 games, so it’s interesting to here what other people who are learning the game are going through. I’ve been getting some of my friends interested in the game as well and I’ve had problems getting across the idea that you can lose your models and still win. I started using the Alamo as an example, the Texans all died, but they didn’t lose. Thanks again for the great show.

    Excellent material! You mentioned in the future you’ll be talking about faction specific content.  here’s what I’d like to learn in each podcast:
    a)  which master handles the most amount of strategies well within the faction?
    b)  which mini’s to get to round out that master’s weaknesses?
    c)  within the faction which strategies are each master best at?
